Yia - growing up with you in my life is something I will always be grateful for. When I was little coming over for Sunday night dinner was always a treat! The amazing food made with so much time and effort was filled with love! I didn't realize how lucky I was as a child to have those times with you. Even though your were preparing a meal for a large group of people every week you never forgot to look flawless! With your effortless ensembles and a fierce red lip you made it look so easy. As I got older I would come over and you would tell me how beautiful I was and I would always end up leaving with a gift! Something of yours you wanted me to have. You were always so generous and wanted to see me smile. When times would get tough within the family you never faltered and always managed to stay positive and find the good in every situation. Even when you lost your husband, my papou you did it with so much grace. You were the only family I had around me when I was little and the impression you made on me and the love you gave me was all the family I needed. :) Watching you paint and getting to brag to my friends that my Yia was a real life artist was so much fun! I know we are far apart and don't get to see one another as we used to but you are always in my heart - I admire you so much Yia and I want to thank you for all the amazing memories you have given me. Merry Christmas! Love you!
Your, Stephunia (as you used to call me) :)
